Advanced SEMH Teaching Assistant required
Engage Education are looking for a driven, persevering and compassionate individual to join this exciting school that caters for children with SEMH needs aged 8 to 16.
Providing a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of young people, you would be joining a learning environment that is dedicated to collaboration, support and nurture to ensure that every child receives the support they deserve. If you are interested in changing the lives of children who struggle to access mainstream education, then we are very interested in hearing from you.
As an ATA, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours - ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or social development.
This is a full-time role to start in September 2024
Full time Monday - Friday
~ Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high quality and creative educational and personal development sessions
~Excellent career starter for aspiring Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers .
~ Able to provide academic support to pupils as well as pastoral care
~ Training on the job.
~ Salary increase with progression.
~ Your own dedicated mentor and consultant to help and support when needed.

1 year experience working to support people with SEMH or other complex SEN difficulties.
~1 year experience within a classroom based setting (either SEN or mainstream)
~ The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children.
~ Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child’s development.
~ Willing to undertake training days.
