As a SEN TA with a specialism in SEMH (Depression) starting ASAP, you will be joining our team full-time for a long-term position at our vibrant community school in Hackney. You will primarily work with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, focusing on those struggling with depression and other emotional challenges. This role is vital in creating a supportive and nurturing environment, developing close relationships with both students and their families to ensure comprehensive support. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with SEMH needs, particularly those dealing with depression.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting the emotional and educational needs of young children.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and support.
Support classroom teachers in managing and delivering lessons, adapting materials and strategies to accommodate students’ needs.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to support students at home.
• Track and document students’ progress, behavior, and engagement, using this data to inform interventions and support plans.
