*Hours/working pattern:* 18.75 hours per week. You'll mainly work over 3 days, with the potential of extra hours due to absence and holidays. You'll be required to work weekdays and weekends on a flexible rota. *What it's like to work here* You'll be part of a small team of 6 staff plus our team of volunteers who help with our retail and plant offer. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you'll be fully supported, helping you to integrate into the team and learn about the wonderful products we sell and the stories behind them.
Hardwick Hall is one of the National Trusts discovery houses in Derbyshire. Built by the infamous Bess of Hardwick in the 1500s, it is a leading example of an Elizabethan house. The estate currently attracts more than 500,000 visitors a year and the Stables shop within the Stable yard area is going from strength to strength.
To find out more about what it’s like to work within “Retail” at the National Trust, click here to watch our video. *What you'll be doing* As Retail Team Member you’ll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised.
