Cost Controller

As a Cost Centre Analyst, you'll conduct a full review of the business month end expenses close process, understanding its strengths and weaknesses to support a redevelopment. This will include a reconciliation of the intercompany and subsidiary activity and a redesign of the month end flash report which will bring clarity to Senior executives on the business performance. This role is aimed at someone with previous experience with intercompany transactions, subsidiary accounting and process improvement.
Lead month-end close activities (journals and prepayments), ensure correct accounting treatment of expense items in line with the AXA manual.

You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Review accounting treatment of expense items (capitalisation, restructuring provisions) per AXA accounting manual; Support budgeting and forecasting for business units in Anaplan
Build and maintain relationships with offshore team, expense partners, cost centre managers and auditors, support external audits and remediation of audit recommendations
ACA/CIMA/ACCA PQ or qualified, or qualified by experience, or equivalent
IFRS knowledge with strong technical accounting skills
Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Anaplan
Insurance finance experience or familiarity with non-IT cost centre accounting is preferred
Strong commercial acumen; High integrity with confidential data handling, strong governance mindset
Proven relationship management capabilities, able to work with offshore teams, expense partners, cost centre managers and auditors
