The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer on behalf of our client. The role is key to supporting the ongoing success and growth of the company. You will be responsible for the management of control systems ensuring they meet the highest industrial and pharmaceutical standards. Your main focus will be to ensure these automation systems operate efficiently and safely, in compliance with cGXP regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specification and Design: Create detailed specifications and designs for automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, etc).
  • Development and Installation: Oversee the development and installation of control systems to ensure they meet project requirements
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of automation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • System Administration: Maintain and manage existing automation systems, ensuring continuous and efficient operation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all automation activities comply with cGXP regulations and internal quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK/IE or have a valid work permit for full-time employment in the UK/IE.
  • Educational Background: HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • Industry experience: Proven experience in delivering successful automation projects in the pharmaceutical industry or other manufacturing environments. Alternatively, experience in supporting, maintaining or administering existing automation systems.
  • Technical expertise: Strong background in specifying, designing, installing, and commissioning automation systems, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS technologies.
