The Principal Pricing Analyst will help us to significantly improve the profitability of esure through driving improvements to our Motor pricing, across all of our brands and channels.It’s a very exciting time to join the team We have delivered a huge transformation programme and continue to strive to become a world class, data driven and digital business. We implemented a brand-new platform, improved data systems and now have no old technology holding us back. With your help we can analyse real time data, this means we are really looking for an individual who is passionate about all things data, loves to get into the detail of things and can use data to tell a story and make recommendations to our business.What you will do:Recommend, deliver and coordinate changes to prices and underwriting criteria for our Motor products to help achieve volume and profit targets.Collaborate with the business to help them understand main aspects of Pricing e.g. risk pricing, retail pricing and expenses, including how these are modelled and derived.Lead and coordinate the build and updating of significant risk/retail models using Radar, Emblem and any other alternative modelling/Data Science techniques.Have full oversight of analysis to monitor any issues in key aspects of business performance, such as conversion, retention, loss ratios, and rate analysis.Use insights gained from internal and external sources to deliver a step change improvement to esure’s pricing capabilities.Be a coach and mentor to our Analysts and Senior Analysts and support in managing tasks, assessing priorities and mentorship on key data or projectsSupport in the delivery of pricing initiatives, as well as feeding in new ideas, to make our pricing and rating capabilities market leading.QualificationsWe’d love you to have:A passion for data, analysis and drawing meaningful insight from data to share with a business to make impactful recommendations and changes.Experience within a Senior or Principal Pricing role with knowledge of the UK Motor or Home insurance products / markets.Experience with Radar and other insurance pricing software such as Emblem.Good experience with statistical software SQLSolid understanding of pricing and modelling techniquesThe ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms and to be able to produce clear and concise reports.Additional InformationWhy choose us?This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of our game-changing journey and be part of something truly special And to top it off, here are some perks to life at esure…A competitive salary that recognises your skills and potentialA bonus scheme that celebrates your contribution to esure’s successDiscounts on our insurance products, for you and your family25 days annual leave, plus 8 flex days to be taken as and when suits youBenefits just for you: our hub – My Benefits Box – is loaded with perks to choose from, so you can build a personal toolkit to support your health, wellbeing, lifestyle, and finances.Grow your career with us: whatever your goals, we’ll support you with hands-on training, mentoring, a LinkedIn Learning licence, access to our exclusive Academies, regular career conversations, and expert partner resources from the likes of Women in Data and Women in Tech.Join our communities: our networks give you the chance to connect, learn and share with like-minded colleagues across the business – for work and play.
