Founded by Ian Palmer, InchDairnie is a Fife distillery that brings malt tradition into the modern world. Built in 2015, it takes an innovative approach to flavour, through innovative materials, unique methods and maturation practices to produce whiskies with a strong purpose: to excite the palates of perceptive drinkers the world over. In 2023, InchDairnie Distillery launched their first ever release, RyeLaw. A luxurious and groundbreaking Fife Single Grain Scotch Whisky that is currently available in the UK, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

The Inchdairnie Distillery Accountant will work closely with all Office Staff, Management and Directors to produce timely, accurate financial statements to strict timetables.

Individual will be a key contributor to the decision making process in all financial areas of the Distillery as outlined below, ensuring optimum commercial solution.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and reporting
  • Preparation and Submission of the annual statutory accounts
  • Completion of annual audit, submission of all Audit requirements and liaison with External Auditors, Directors and Management.
  • Preparation of bulk stock model, warehouse model and wood model for short, medium and long term planning
  • Preparation of detailed stock model planning for all finishes required to maintain consistency of all cased products
  • Preparation of short term profit forecasts and cash flow forecasts incorporating all aspects of planned production, sales, warehousing, fixed assets and overheads areas etc
  • Preparation of annual budget profit & loss report, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Management of the capital expenditure process including accuracy of the Fixed asset register, calculation of annual depreciation and control of spend on capital projects versus plan
  • Collation and submission of all Trademark data for all products and marks
  • Reviewing use and continuous improvements of all processes and systems.
  • Maintain valuation of all company bulk stock records and calculate any stock provisions required ensuring company policy is applied and effective.
  • Preparation of Individual brand profitability statements
  • Capture and reporting of Sustainability requirements.
  • Ad hoc project data capture e.g. Climate Change data, SWA Statistical returns etc
  • Review and authorisation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Management of direct reports

You will be a highly motivated, pro active, flexible, business driven and focused Senior Finance Candidate preferably with experience within a Distilling or Supply Chain environment. A self starter with rounded commercial and operational experience with a high degree of IT literacy.
