Commercial Director required by successful manufacturing company, following a period of continued growth and outstanding performance.
As part of the Senior Management team, the successful Commercial Director will be responsible for the commercial success of the business, growing and maintaining business relationships and upholding the company s excellent reputation within the industry.
Main Duties: Commercial Director
- Leading and inspiring teams while upholding the company s core values, ensuring adherence to rules, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Mentoring and supporting direct reports.
- Reducing the overall cost of materials and sharing these savings with customers.
- Participating in routine customer quarterly reviews, ensuring data is current and presented professionally.
- Maintaining agreed profit margins.
- Managing customer slow-moving and excess inventory, ensuring customers take responsibility for materials purchased on their behalf.
- Overseeing and approving quotes within agreed values and targets.
- Ensuring accurate stock control.
- Overseeing timely production of kits for manufacturing.
- Managing compliance with all legislation regarding Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, and that teams adhere to agreed procedures at all times.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Commercial Director
- Substantial experience as part of a Senior Leadership Team gained within a manufacturing or engineering or equivalent environment. Ideally within electronics.
- Extensive experience of managing resources and multiple tasks including conflicting priorities.
- Familiarity with profit and loss accounting is essential, particularly in understanding the cost of goods, gross margins, and profit contribution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
