Commercial / Technology Lawyer (Public Sector)

Location - Belfast, Bristol, London or Ipswich - 3 days a week onsite
As a Commercial Lawyer in our UK Public Sector team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting BT’s Business unit. You’ll provide first-class legal, commercial, and contractual services to help us achieve our strategic goals. From drafting and negotiating complex customer contracts to advising on regulatory risks and managing subcontractor agreements, your expertise will help us deliver for our customers and protect BT’s interests.
Lead legal support on medium-complexity bids and assist senior lawyers on high-complexity deals.
Draft and negotiate customer and subcontractor agreements, including strategic change control arrangements.
Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance to maximise opportunities and manage risk.
Promote compliance and risk management across the business.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external legal providers.
Qualified Lawyer (NQ upwards) or proven relevant experience as a commercial lawyer across the public sector.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance risk and reward.
Eligible for  DV security clearance (UK citizenship and 10+ years continuous UK residency required).
Proven experience in commercial contracts and legal advice in fast-paced environments.
Telecoms/Technology sector experience and public sector contract knowledge.
