Role Title: .NET Developer Location: London, UK Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) Contract Duration: 12+ months Domain: Oil & Gas (Nice to Have) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications focused on trading, inventory management, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and containerized deployments, with exposure to the energy or oil & gas domain being a plus. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain .NET applications using ASP.NET Core 9.0 and C#. Design and build RESTful APIs for trading, inventory, and compliance systems. Integrate complex business logic for carbon credit trading, RINS, and LCFS compliance. Implement authentication via Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Platform. Manage PostgreSQL databases using Entity Framework Core. Create scheduled background jobs using Quartz.NET for data processing. Develop reporting and email workflow automation for regulatory compliance. Deploy applications using Docker and OpenShift in containerized environments. Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Must-Have Skills: .NET, ASP.NET Core, API Development (8+ years overall IT experience, 5+ years relevant). Strong experience with Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL. RESTful API design and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI). Authentication systems: OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD. Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift). Background job scheduling and processing (Quartz.NET). Unit and integration testing (xUnit, FluentAssertions). CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps. Good-to-Have Skills: Experience in energy, trading, or financial systems . Understanding of carbon credit markets and regulatory frameworks (RINS, LCFS, RFS). Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services . Knowledge of environmental compliance and fuel pathway reporting . Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft Certified Developer) are desirable.
