Software Engineering Lead

London w/ occasional travel to Hampshire

Software Engineering Lead required to join an expansive engineering department within a well-established company with offices in the Southeast and London. The company are currently going through a substantial growth period and are expanding their software engineering teams.

Within this position you'll support the development and deployment of a range of EPOS and Retail systems by being the technical guide for the team, consulting on design and architecture decisions and resolving any bottle-necks in deployment. This role will still offer hands-on development Leadership position but will be supplemented by experience in leading a development team.

Key experience

  • Prior experience engineering EPOS, E-commerce or Retail software solutions
  • Service Oriented Architecture and/or Microservice architecture
  • Technical background in Agile software development & leadership
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders

You’ll be working with the following languages and frameworks;

  • Java Spring
  • Node.js
  • Gitlab or similar
  • CI/CD tools
  • Fullstack experience with React.js is beneficial but not essential
