Under the direction of UKHSA, the Incinerator Operative is responsible for enforcing UKHSA policy, processes and procedures relating to the day-to-day operation of the Incinerator, with the responsibility for the receipt, storage, treatment and disposal of clinical waste in line with UKHSA and Legislative requirements. To control the dosing of chemicals to ensure the emissions are within Government guidelines.

Ensure that Legal and Environmental compliance is adhered to whilst using the CEMS system.

To participate in the cleaning regime of the steam boiler and waste heat Incinerator.

Escalate health and safety risks to the UKHSA Engineering Health and Safety Manager.

Ensure that all mandatory training is completed in the dedicated timescales.

Lone working will be required during the Night shift.
