Management Accountant
Are you a highly numerate and detail-oriented individual with a background in manufacturing and a focus on operating cost accounting? Our client, a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Tamworth, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. With a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000 per year, this is a permanent full-time position offering hybrid working opportunities.
As the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing our client's financial activities by providing timely and accurate management accounts. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
Hands-on management of operational and transactional activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards.
Producing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals/prepayment schedules.
Reconciling control accounts and managing accounting entries for inventory.
Overseeing ledgers and managing the VAT process, including submission of monthly returns.
Daily cashflow management.
Providing cover for the Financial Controller - Finance and Accounting.
Conducting ad-hoc investigations and reporting as required.
To excel in this role, you should be ACCA/CIMA Qualified, possess experience in manufacturing and operating cost accounting, and have a strong background in using ERP systems. As a self-starter, you should have excellent time management skills and be highly IT literate. Additionally, you will thrive as part of a team, with a strong focus on business performance.
