Civil Design Engineer Required
Our client is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing multi-disciplinary team at their London head office.
Role: Civil Design Engineer
Undertaking Civil engineering design tasks for projects, including drafting briefs, conducting calculations, reviewing designs from others, assessing risks, and creating drawings.
Collaborating with the CAD Team to generate and assess drawings/models of their designs.
Liaising with site delivery teams to gather feedback on constructibility and preferred construction methods.
Contributing to various design reviews like HAZOPS, ALMs, and Stage Gate reviews.
Compiling geotechnical reports and coordinating ground investigation activities for projects.
Conducting site visits to engage with operatives, assess designs and installations, and collect feedback for enhancing future designs.
Possess proficiency in using AUTOCAD for 2D (Essential) and 3D (Optional) modelling.
Demonstrate experience with Finite Element Analysis software.
Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Have a strong grasp of Design standards, principles, and the application of Eurocodes/British Standards.
Are familiar with Geotechnical and reinforced concrete design.
Hold a full UK driving license and are willing to travel/have their own transport for site visits within the Thames Water and Southern Water operational areas.
Display strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask across different projects simultaneously.
