Market Research and Analysis
Market Trends: Analyze market trends, pricing, and suppliers in the pipe welding and coating industry across the EMEAA regions.
Supplier Research: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the technical and commercial requirements.
Cost Analysis: Perform cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective procurement strategies, including evaluating alternative materials or processes.
2. Supplier Management
Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
Supplier Performance: Monitor and assess supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), such as quality, delivery times, and compliance with contract terms.
Supplier Audits: Coordinate and participate in supplier audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
3. Procurement Strategy Development
Centralized Procurement: Support the centralized procurement team in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and operational needs in the EMEAA regions.
Category Management: Contribute to category management strategies specific to pipe welding and coating services.
Risk Management: Identify procurement risks (e.g., geopolitical risks, supply chain disruptions) and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
4. Contract Management
Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers, focusing on terms that align with the company’s objectives, such as price, quality, and delivery schedules.
Compliance: Ensure that contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Contract Administration: Monitor contract performance and ensure that contractual obligations are being met by both the company and the suppliers.
5. Cost Control and Budgeting
Budget Management: Work closely with finance and operations teams to manage procurement budgets and ensure expenditures align with forecasts.
Cost Savings: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the procurement process.
Spend Analysis: Analyze spend data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization.
6. Process Optimization
Procurement Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance.
Technology Utilization: Leverage procurement technologies and tools to streamline procurement activities, such as ERP systems, procurement software, and analytics tools.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and market conditions.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Internal Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, engineering, finance, and legal, to align procurement activities with broader company goals.
Project Support: Provide procurement support for major projects, including coordinating with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that procurement strategies meet those needs.
8. Compliance and Ethical Procurement
Ethical Standards: Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards and company policies, including anti-corruption and fair competition practices.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, particularly those specific to the EMEAA regions.
9. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and services across the EMEAA regions.
Inventory Management: Work with inventory management teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
10. Training and Development
Knowledge Sharing: Share market and supplier insights with the procurement team and other relevant departments.
Training: Provide training and support to junior procurement staff, ensuring they understand the procurement processes and strategies.
Job Specific Education Required:
Minimum of 5 GCSE (including Mathematics and English Language). Engineering / Electrical qualifications an advantage but not essential.
Professional Certifications (Preferred): CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), PMP (Project Management Professional) or MSC in Supply Chain & logistics
Work Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years proven experience in supply chain or logistics roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Must-Have: Extensive experience in using ERP systems, specifically SAP or SAP S/4Hana . This includes proficiency in modules related to procurement, supply chain management, and financial reporting within SAP.
Advanced Excel and Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools (such as Excel, Power BI) to analyze procurement data and support decision-making.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills& Knowledge Required:
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Adaptable to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
