Vacancy - Mobile Harbour Crane Engineer
Are you excited by the opportunity to further develop your skills to become a multi-skilled engineer by working with a variety of specialist modern technical equipment? We are seeking a Mobile Harbour Crane Engineer to maintain a wide variety of equipment on a number of sites across the North West England to help us to maximise operational time.
You will use your initiative to solve problems and suggest tactical solutions to the Team Leader in order to stay on schedule and will ensure completion of documentation and IT systems including daily logs, progress sheets and job reports to identify work activity and delays. You will also troubleshoot PLCs, hydraulic and electrical control systems installed on all equipment. You will need to be available for out of hours call out rota, and attend breakdowns if and when required.
You will be a time served apprentice or qualified to a minimum ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with previous experience in heavy plant engineering, including working with PLC systems, complex hydraulic systems, hydrostatic motion controlled systems and electronic over hydraulic controlled equipment. Experience in multi-skilled fault finding and the repair of cranes and lifting equipment would be advantageous.
You will have the proven ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks, projects and change in a fast moving operational environment, demonstrating initiative, drive and flexibility. A full valid Driving License in essential.
