About the role

In your role as Investment Communications Manager, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.

This role will provide a great opportunity to produce compelling, engaging narratives tailored to target audiences across a range of channels to promote USS Investment Management’s capabilities, approaches, achievements and performance, and protect its standing as a major, responsible sovereign investor.

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the Corporate Affairs you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the principal point of contact, internally and externally (including media), for all investment-related communications, including Responsible Investment and Public Affairs
  • Promoting strategic media and stakeholder engagement opportunities to build and enhance relationships with key contacts
    Leading on internal relationship management to proactively support the delivery of first class communications on investment issues and activities, securing input and sign-off
  • Translating expert investment inputs into compelling easy to understand narratives and content, tailored for different channels and audiences
  • Identifying best practice amongst global asset managers/pension schemes of similar standing and support the evolution of communications activity across the business
  • Developing and deliver a clear, measurable and achievable multi-channel rolling plan of proactive investment-related communications, demonstrably linked to supporting strategic priorities

To be successful in the role you will have:
  • Experienced in corporate communications across a wide group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Media management experience, including national publications and broadcast
  • Asset management knowledge
