Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.

* Manage the day-to-day operation in order to ensure the health and safety of the children, their parents and carers. the team and any visitors to the nursery.

* Be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications.
* train and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high quality childcare practice.
* Identify training needs: develop training plans and evaluate training undertaken by staff. Ensure that staff are provided with opportunities to develop their continuous professional development
* Proactively represent the Company and advance its interests in the local community
* Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
* Be responsible for ensuring that all complaints and concerns are actively resolved in a timely manner and that these are reported to the executive manager
* Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining children's records, ordering equipment. maintaining inventories. liaising with the head office and keeping personnel records.
* Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line management.
* To be aware of the high profile of Ossett Childcare & Pre-school and refrain from irresponsible behaviour 1n and out of the setting that could impact the nursery's commercial success
* Carryout regular staff supervisions and appraisals.
* Ensure the nursery environment is continuously looking presentable and maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards.
* Promote a healthy well balance nutrition diet when planning for children's meals, snacks and breakfast.
* To be responsible for the welfare of all children throughout the setting. ensure up to date and well organised systems to ensure consistent, high- quality care.
* To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust. open communication and involvement in nursery life.

* To work in partnership to ensure standards are continually being met in line with Ofsted requirements and the EYFS.
