JLA are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud System Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, security, and performance. As a Senior Cloud System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our Azure environments, including managing resources, monitoring systems, and supporting cloud-based services.
Administer and maintain Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Respond to and resolve system issues, including performance bottlenecks, outages, and security incidents.
Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages.
Develop and maintain scripts for system provisioning, configuration management, and patching.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Bicep to automate deployments and updates.
Regularly test and validate backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, network security groups, and encryption.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data protection and security.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and capacity planning.
Work closely with application developers, network engineers, and IT support teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other team members.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, with at least 3 years focused on cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Strong experience in managing and supporting Azure services, including VMs, networking, storage, and security.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages for automation and administration tasks.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewall and WAF management.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation in a cloud environment.
Familiarity with Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and other security and compliance tools.
