Relief Phlebotomist

The hourly rate for this role is £12.36 and up to £13.53 across selected locations within London.

This role will involve travelling to stores around the region. Travel expenses are covered by Boots. A full driving licence

and access to a car will be necessary in this role due to the travelling. Only Phlebotomists with at least 12 months practical experience will be considered .Relief Phlebotomist Travel required to multiple locations up to 60 minutes. All travel expenses

Health programme will collect information from millions of volunteers across the UK in order to help people live healthier lives for longer; through transforming the prevention, detection and treatment of conditions such as dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart

disease and stroke.Your role as a Phlebotomist will be to greet volunteers, verify their details and take health measurements and venous blood samples (phlebotomy) whilst maintaining the integrity of all participant information and blood samples. You will

also work with other store-based phlebotomists conducting peer-to-peer observations and providing feedback.This is not a store-based role, the successful candidate will work across multiple stores, travelling to provide appointments. There may be occasions

where you are requested to change where you are due to work at short notice so flexibility is required. Your main duties will include:

Greeting participants and verifying their detailsExplaining the phlebotomy procedure to participantsClerical duties such as management of appointment booking process for the phlebotomy serviceTaking various participants measurements, such as height, weight

and waist circumferenceTaking and maintaining venous blood samples from participants according to UK guidelinesMaintaining quality of service delivery by following Standard Operating Procedures and adhering to health and safety standardsEnsuring samples are

prepared for delivery to the correct laboratory within required timescalesOrdering and maintaining adequate stock of requisite materials needed to deliver serviceCommunicating with the in-store Pharmacist and the pharmacy team to assure safe and appropriate
