Deputy Manager Residential Children's Home

Job Type: Full-time

We are excited to offer a fantastic career opportunity for a Deputy Manager at a new children's home in St Helens. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and young people. Promote and support children and young people in education, training, or employment.
Holistically promote the emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of the children.
Participate in care planning, assessments, and contextual safeguarding.
Help develop life skills for children and young people to prepare them for life post-18.
Support and manage staff, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and professional development.
Assist in budgetary control and effective rota management.
Ensure staff respond appropriately to child protection concerns and follow relevant protocols.
Assist in holding team meetings and keeping staff informed of policies and procedures.
Minimum of two years' experience in a residential children's provision.
Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent, with a willingness to complete Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management within residential children's home settings.
Valid driving license.
Computer literacy.

Minimum Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or an equivalent and relevant qualification, such as a degree.
