The Head Nutritionist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the meal programs meet nutritional standards of medical diets, adhere to dietary guidelines, and promote healthy eating habits among students. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of students while working collaboratively with our operations teams.
Provide expert nutrition guidance and support to General Managers and Head Chefs overseeing education contracts.
Develop and review menus to ensure compliance with nutritional standards, medical dietary guidelines, allergies and intolerances and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of food service operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure full compliance with nutritional legislation.
Deliver training sessions and workshops for staff on topics related to nutrition, food safety, and culinary best practices.
Stay informed about current trends and research in nutrition and incorporate best practices into meal planning and menu development.
Act as a liaison between the company and educational institutions, building strong relationships and addressing any nutrition-related concerns or inquiries.
Support the development and implementation of nutrition education programs for students, staff, and parents.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nutrition management, preferably within the education or food service industry.
Strong understanding of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and legislations.
Ability to analyse data and make evidence-based recommendations for improving nutrition programs.
Flexibility to travel to various education contract sites as needed.
