Signage & Visual Proposition Manager Reporting to: Head of Gym Product
Based: Hybrid/ East Croydon

As Signage & Visual Proposition Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Gym Product team by overseeing the development and management of permanent signage across our entire portfolio. You will collaborate closely with property, commercial/marketing and operational teams to ensure that our gym locations present a consistent and compelling brand proposition. Your responsibilities will involve planning, executing, and optimising the visual elements within our gyms to enhance the overall member experience.
Signage Strategy and Planning:
•Develop a comprehensive signage strategy aligned with the overall brand, gym product and commercial/marketing objectives.
•Collaborate with property, operational and commercial/marketing teams to understand the unique aspects of each gym location and tailor signage plans accordingly.
•Execution and Implementation:
•Oversee the end-to-end process of creating, producing, and installing permanent signage across the gym portfolio, including new gyms and existing estate.
•Ensure that signage adheres to brand guidelines, aligns with the gym's aesthetics, and meets regulatory requirements.
•Support Project Managers in ensuring relevant advertisement consent is in place, liaising and supporting external signage contractors.
Work closely with commercial/marketing and operational teams to integrate promotional messaging and campaigns placement into the permanent signage strategy.
•Budget and Cost Management:
•Develop and manage budgets for independent signage projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
•Support Project Managers on new openings and enhancement programme.
•Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers for materials, production, and installation.
Quality Control and Maintenance:
•Implement processes to regularly assess and maintain the quality of permanent signage.
•Support the facilities team to ensure coordination of repairs or replacements as necessary to maintain a high standard.
Data Analysis and Optimisation:
•In collaboration with the commercial and data teams, utilise data and feedback to analyse the effectiveness of signage in conveying the brand proposition and driving member engagement.
•Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Marketing, Business, Graphics Design or a related field.
•Proven experience in signage management or a similar role, preferably in the retail or fitness industry.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment whilst driving cost efficiency.
•Creativity and attention to detail is key, ensuring that the brand proposition is effectively communicated through signage.
•Extensive experience and proficiency with relevant design software.
