With an unrivalled reputation within the building services sector, they offer a comprehensive electrical and mechanical design, installation and maintenance service across many sectors. Due to growth my client is looking for an experienced Head of Sustainability to join their business.
As the Head of Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in driving our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
Implement sustainability goals, policies, and strategies aligned with my clients values.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, and community groups, to build relationships and gather input on sustainability initiatives.
* Gather data on our environmental impact, energy consumption, waste generation, and other relevant metrics.
* Analyse sustainability performance and use the data to identify areas for improvement.
* Evaluate and monitor the environmental and social impact of the supply chain i.e. embodied carbon and contract-specific Scope 3.
* Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy initiatives.
* Prepare sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Engage with local communities and participate in community-based sustainability projects.
* Assess the financial implications of sustainability initiatives, including cost savings and return on investment.
* Utilise a Carbon Monitoring Tool and educate operational teams in their usage and development.
* Drive positive change in our business practices to minimise our environmental footprint and maximise sustainability efforts.
Genuine passion for the environment and sustainability and belief in the difference a company can make.
* Demonstrable experience managing an environmental function or similar relevant field.
* Strong attention to detail for compiling accurate statistics and writing factual environmental reports.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of commercial responsibilities.
* Ability to set sustainability targets, develop plans, and oversee their delivery through effective project management.
* Full UK driving license required; occasional overnight stays may be necessary #J-18808-Ljbffr
