Citadel Source are delighted to be partnering on an exclusive basis with Hartnell Taylor Cook to recruit an Assistant Head of Client Accounting to support the Head of Client Accounting due to the strong growth of the business over recent years.
Hartnell Taylor Cook is an established independent consultancy providing a comprehensive commercial property service throughout the UK. 5bn of client buildings as well as providing specialist advice in areas covering Investment, Offices, Industrial, Retail and Building Surveying and Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

This varied role will encompass all aspects of Client Accounting and applicants will need to demonstrate good commerciality as well as attention to detail. With new processes being introduced and several junior team members including an apprentice being added recently, assisting with training and development of their skills is an important part of the role.

As the Assistant Head of Client Accounting your role will include but not be limited to:
Interacting with all aspects of the client accounting function ensuring the smooth running of the purchase and sales ledgers ensuring deadlines are met
Assisting with the completion of property service charge year end accounts by the team
Liaise with Property Management colleagues to accurately plan service charge budgets and maintain cash flow to ensure client liabilities are satisfied
Overseeing the review of rent ledgers and bank account reconciliations to ensure timely payment of funds to clients
Provide advice, guidance and mentoring to develop junior team members and drive process change within the department whilst maintaining a tight control environment

Accounting qualification with experience of managing colleagues
Ability to analyse financial information and disseminate to non‑finance people
Experience within a commercial property environment with knowledge of TRAMPS software desirable but not essential
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
