Venesky-Brown is collaborating with a global infrastructure and construction firm known for its unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. They are now seeking an experienced Site Agent/Senior Agent for a project in Dounreay, Caithness.
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for delivering a 220kV high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission system, running from Finstown, Orkney, to Dounreay, Caithness. You will play a key role in a project which will support growth in the renewable energy sector, and continue Scotland's journey towards Net Zero.

This would be a permanent contract role. Salary, as well as travel, accommodation, and subsistence etc. CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Manager.
SMSTS.
Successful experience and performance at Sub Agent level (or equivalent as deemed appropriate by Senior Management).
Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management capabilities to manage less complex projects, characterised by short tender/project execution time, low resource tie-up and low risk profile.

7 years of experience in the construction industry.

The Management and oversight of all areas of the project which have been assigned to you and delivering successful project outcomes.
Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives.
Driving quality delivery through effective planning and right first time delivery.
Managing, supervising and mentoring the project team as appropriate.
Maintaining a good working relationship with the client and his/her project management and supervisory team and the supply chain.
Establishing, maintaining and monitoring an effective, programme based cost management system, to facilitate financial control with reliable QF preparation and reporting.
Ensuring realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the requirements of the project and contract.
Ensuring processes are in place for the preparation, review and briefing of method statements, activity plans and risk assessments and measures implemented to ensure they are reviewed and updated accordingly.
Using appropriate and effective communication methods such as recorded internal weekly progress meetings to communicate with the whole project team.
Keeping line management appraised of potential risks and opportunities associated with the project and the potential for future work opportunities.
Maintaining close working relationship with company support departments to ensure the project receives maximum support and is able to maximise opportunities for the sharing of knowledge.
Maintaining a close working relationship with the procurement department to ensure compliant and advantageous procurement arrangements for the project.
Supporting all staff under your supervision in achieving their own performance and development goals.
Keeping abreast of progress and developments in the industry and specific professional fields.
Undertaking performance and development reviews as required by the Company and following up on the development activities identified.
