Join us and make a meaningful impact - while building a career you can feel passionate about. We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Data Programmer to join our Clinical Support Services team. This full-time, permanent role is fully remote within the UK or EU. You’ll play a key role in transforming complex clinical datasets into accurate, compliant outputs that support essential research and regulatory processes. What You’ll Do Programmatically extract, transform, and report clinical datasets for test and production environments. Develop reusable, standardized code to generate datasets for UAT (dummy and live data). Prepare SDTM and/or ADaM datasets as needed. Perform data and code reviews to confirm accuracy, integrity, and protocol adherence. Troubleshoot code and ensure datasets align with study documentation and regulatory expectations. Maintain complete, organized, and compliant study and QC documentation. Review Data Transfer Agreements and Specifications. Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders and manage assigned study schedules. Support application development, code standardization, and workload prioritization across complex projects. Mentor peers/junior staff and contribute to continuous process improvement. Design, implement, and support systems that produce custom tables, graphs, and business intelligence outputs. Research and advise on new technologies; draft/update SOPs. Serve as a team lead when needed and support supervisor with scheduling and administrative tasks. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree (scientific discipline preferred). Significant SAS programming experience within a regulated or CRO environment. Expertise with SAS macros, arrays, SQL, SAS Graph, and multiple output formats (.rtf, .xml, .xpt). Experience with an additional programming language (e.g., .NET, VBA) is a plus. Familiarity with SDLC is beneficial. Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work within strict timelines and occasional extended hours when needed. Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style. Why Charles River Labs?
