I am working with a special school in Leeds, who are looking for a cover supervisor to become part of their internal team.
A cover supervisor is responsible for leading preplanned lessons across all the departments and managing students’ behaviour, in line with the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policy.
The school are dedicated to supporting the successful applicant with their career progression, through the alliances with teacher training. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain experience in a selected department, to support with their career progression.
This post is full time, Monday - Friday, during school term times, however, for the right applicant the school would consider part time of 3- 4days.
This role offers the potential to progress to an unqualified teacher, leading to increased pay, or a place on a teacher training programme.
Hold some experience working with young people, ideally aged 11 - 18 years. Work specifically in schools is ideal however, other relevant roles is considered, such as, youth work or coaching.
- Have successfully graduated or be currently studying toward a degree.
- Available at least three days a week from February 2024.
