Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Technician in London, who will have responsibility for ensuring the Executive & Professional Underwriting teams are suitably enabled to transact business effectively, through accurate timely and complete recording of data, investigation of issues and relevant engagement with external & internal stakeholders. The Underwriting Technician will be a key driver of task migration to our operational support area through identifying suitable tasks, training and feedback. Assist head of E&P with ad-hoc data management and oversight reporting
Assist E&P underwriters with account recording workflow management
Provide inputs to relevant actuarial and risk modelling tools
Support management in producing and monitoring portfolio and facility metrics
Observe and capture requirements for process improvements, software integration or task migration
Ideally 3-5 years commercial insurance experience required (preferably E&P)
In-depth understanding of underwriting practices throughout the policy life cycle
Excellent competency in MS Office applications
