Cordius are currently looking for a Regional Engineer to join our client's friendly, professional team in the East London region.

Our client is a leading provider of access solutions for the construction industry, with over 6,000 machines available for rental and accredited training.

As a Regional Engineer, y ou will be supporting the Regional Service Manager in the smooth-running of the region and servicing and maintaining our expanding hire rental fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs, manufacturer updates, and maintaining the corporate image of our rental machine fleet.
  • Attending breakdowns at client locations.
  • Using a corporate-issued PDA to accurately record all essential checks, while adhering to company procedure at all times.
  • Effectively communicating with the engineering team and hire office to ensure optimum machine availability at the depot.
Required skills and experience
  • Engineering qualification - minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification or its equivalent in engineering.
  • Experience in the powered access market is essential.
  • Electro/hydraulic systems expertise.
  • Experience in fault detection and diagnosis.
  • You will work closely with customers and co-workers; therefore, you must be able to communicate effectively.
  • You must be able to prioritise activities in a constantly shifting, high-pressure hiring environment.
  • CAP (Competent Assessed Person) licence
  • A solid mechanical background in heavy plant, such as powered access, excavators, or forklifts.
  • 25 days holidays per year + statutory holidays
