This established, well-funded boutique FinTech, is looking for a Scrum Master to manage and guide the daily operations of Scrum Teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and project timelines across their real-time trading platform used by over 170 financial blue-chip clients, including major investment banks.

The role requires a proactive individual who can resolve issues efficiently while fostering team collaboration and growth. The Scrum Master will act as the primary contact for internal communications and play a pivotal role in supporting the development team to meet project goals.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to break into the financial sector. While previous financial experience is preferred, it is not essential. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on financial markets and investment banking, offering an excellent pathway for career progression.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage project scope and timelines within sprint timeboxes.
  • Coordinate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Coach team members in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal communications.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to handle backlogs and prioritize new requests.
  • Identify and remove obstacles to the Scrum Team’s progress.
  • Support teams in implementing process improvements and changes.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards by the end of each sprint.
  • Guide development teams to achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity.
  • Foster a positive team environment where members take ownership of the product.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics.
  • Assist Project Managers with implementation and delivery tasks.
  • Partner with Project Managers to mitigate delivery risks.

Skills & Experience :

  • Scrum Master certification (PSM / CSM).
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum Techniques and Agile artifacts (e.g. user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
  • Strong academic background - degree educated in Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with software development languages (e.g. C#, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, Javascript, SQL)
  • Familiarity with the SOLID principles, TDD/DDD and the SDLC.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Web API & Web Services desirable
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively.
  • Industry experience, particularly in Finance / Banking / FinTech, is advantageous.
