Job Purpose: The Service Department currently maintain approximately 646 units and is set to continue growing. As a Lift Installtation Engineer, who will be responsible for supporting new installation projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in the elevator sector in a senior position.
  • Professional Qualifications/Certifications: Relevant certifications in lift engineering.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Collaborate with site staff and the wider workforce team to ensure efficient project execution, including liaising with manufacturer technicians and management for alignment.
  • Installation: Install new elevators and ensure quality and efficiency
  • Safety and Compliance: Work efficiently and in a safe manner in accordance with all Health and Safety guidelines, managing manual handling, heavy lifting, and work at heights in adherence to safety protocols.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaise directly with customers and members of the public while on-site, building good working relationships and contributing to a customer-focused environment, and providing support and advice to the Repair Sales administration.
  • Fault Rectification: Recognize and rectify faults efficiently, following lift manuals and diagrams accurately when necessary, and conduct technical surveys and site quality audits to identify and address issues.
  • Technical Reporting: Maintain excellent technical reporting and communication skills, staying updated with the latest standards and directives associated with lifts, and providing technical support and training for other engineers.
  • Policy Implementation: Implement company policies, quality, safety, and environmental systems, arranging and delivering technical and safety training, including toolbox talks, and handling out-of-hours callouts effectively.
