Responsibilities

Senior Principal Digital Design Engineer is a technical expert responsible for architecture, planning and delivery of digital logic designs on mixed-signal ASICs. 

The candidate will be able to lead a team of engineers to deliver complex designs meeting performance, power consumption, area, verification coverage, test coverage and timing goals.

The candidate will be able to work closely with product definition, verification, software, evaluation, production test and quality teams to deliver a full product meeting all functional, performance and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar discipline
  • 15+ years experience in Digital design with strong skills and knowledge in RTL design, simulation, timing constraints, synthesis and timing analysis and support for DFT and Place and Route
  • Experience with standard bus protocols, bus architecture designs, system clock architectures, interfaces and low power design techniques.
  • Experience in any of the following is highly desirable: control systems, micro-processor integration with embedded software, DSP Filter design, UVM and advanced verification techniques, FPGA design flow.
  • Highly proficient with industry standard EDA tools
  • Organised and thorough with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent debug skills and the ability to interpret data and resolve issues
  • Experience of developing ICs for automotive applications and knowledge of automotive systems, specifications or frameworks (ISO26262, IEC61508, AEC-Q100 etc.) is desirable
