We’re looking for a proactive Card Acquiring Risk Compliance Specialist to join our team If you have a keen eye for detail and are passionate about ensuring operational excellence in the Fintech & Payment industry, we invite you to join Financial House Limited.

Responsibilities

As a Card Acquiring Risk Compliance Specialist at Financial House, you will be responsible for maintaining smooth operational processes and providing frontline support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, especially those outlined by the FCA, in the operation of our electronic money services and related programs.
  • Handling day-to-day operational tasks, including transaction monitoring, account maintenance, and customer support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of KYC-related activities.
  • Identifying and escalating operational issues and risks in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations on regulatory compliance with card schemes, as well as assess credit and business risks for all new clients to detect problematic business activities and propose suitable risk mitigation strategies.
  • Utilies both in house and third party risk management tools, processes, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of manual operations, improve decision making accuracy, and evalutate the overall quality of results.
  • Propose enhancements to policies and best practices to benefit the broader commercial and operations teams.
  • Compile detailed oral and written reports summarising findings, issues and recommended risk mitigation approaches.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and improve processes.
  • Providing support and guidance on operational matters to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Some experience in card acquiring, including working directly with card schemes or with other acquirers
  • Strong grasp of AML, due diligence, and risk management principles is crucial, alsong with the ability to swiftly pinpoint potential risks and their sources
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar operational role within the financial services industry, preferably in payment & electronic money or fintech.
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations related to electronic money institutions is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
