A well-funded cybersecurity scale-up is building a new frontier in how modern organisations detect and respond to cyber intrusions . They're developing a distributed, cloud-native platform that enables teams to identify and contain threats faster and more precisely than ever before. 🚀 About the Role They're looking for an experienced software engineer to help design, build, and scale a high-performance distributed system from the ground up. You’ll work directly with a small, senior technical team. Influencing architecture, product direction, and long-term engineering strategy. This is a role for builders who think deeply about systems, reliability, and design, not process or politics. 🧠 What You’ll Do Build and evolve large scale, event-driven distributed systems Collaborate directly with founding engineers to shape architecture and infrastructure Deliver production ready, reliable systems that operate at scale Contribute to technical strategy, tooling, and performance improvements 🧰 Tech Environment Core stack: C# / .NET (prior experience not required; strong CS fundamentals valued more) Fully cloud native, infrastructure-as-code approach Highly technical, low bureaucracy environment. Engineers own their roadmap ✅ What They’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in product led or high-growth environments Strong object-oriented programming background (Python, C#, Java, etc.) Experience designing and building distributed or platform systems Strong theoretical foundation (Computer Science or Mathematics background preferred) Pragmatic, collaborative, and excited to build from first principles 💼 What’s on Offer Salary: £60,000–£120,000 Attractive equity package On-site role in Central London (5 days/week) Join a small, elite engineering team building genuinely new technology in cloud security If you’re looking to join a technically rigorous, high-trust environment where your decisions directly shape a product and category, this is the opportunity.
