Please note: To be considered for this role, applicants must be located in the UK or in Germany and must be registered as a freelancer in their country of residence.

Role:

An Azure DevOps Engineer required to support a national utility company on their recently built data platform. Working with the QA and software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing DevOps solutions across the azure ecosystem.

Key Tasks:

• Deciding on and putting into practice the safest and quickest method for getting code from development into production using automation.

• Creating and maintaining deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code.

• Monitoring system performance and capacity utilization

• Ensuring the Azure services, resource groups and overall infrastructure are in place.

• Azure DevOps build including setting up standards for CI/CD pipelines

• Design documentation

Ideal Profile:

• Good hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools

• Proficient in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines

• Hands-on knowledge of software containerization platforms like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Container Instances

• Proficient with scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash and Terraform

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Application Insights, Prometheus or other.

• Experienced with the development and build of deployment pipelines for both infrastructure and applications in particular yaml pipelines.
