The Opportunity

As a Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Bright Practice (BrightManager and BrightPropose) Products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues, implement testing strategies, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies. Define test objectives, scope, and timelines.
  • Test Execution: Perform various types of testing including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Execute test cases to ensure our high standards are maintained.
  • Defect Management: Take ownership of defects and ensuring reported defects contain details needed for all departments to understand, action and re-test where necessary.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and increase our confidence with each release iteration. Identify key areas worth focusing on for automated testing to increase test coverage.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Document test results, findings, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software quality assurance. Implement best practices to enhance the overall quality of our software products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Quality-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), or similar are a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing techniques and tools, Cypress being preferable.
  • Basic understanding of TypeScript or other similar programming languages
  • Understanding of Git / GitHub for source control
