Company: £70m group of companies who specialise in mechanical and electrical building services engineering from initial concept and design to installation and ongoing facilities management / maintenance. The Role: We are recruiting for a mechanical contract manager to manage the installation of mechanical building services for a new build £16m (M&E value) project in Norfolk. The role can be permanent or on a fixed term contract basis. You will start ASAP although the project starts in September 2024 and is scheduled to run for 2 years. The value of the mechanical services on site is c£3m and will be installed by specialist sub-contractors. As Contract Manager, you will have full responsibility for the project at handover from estimation to its completion and ensure that your project is delivered to the client on time and within budget. Duties:

  • Procurement of materials, Labour, and all Subcontract packages
  • Produce Procurement Charts, RFI’s, Tech Submittals etc
  • Management of directly employed and sub-contract/specialist labour
  • Overseeing HSE activities
  • Commercial Awareness, Variations, Applications, Cost Control
  • Liaising with clients, attending and/ or chair project meetings
  • Ensuring a high quality of mechanical services installation
  • Programming, planning, and reporting of all project management activities
  • Manage commissioning process through to handover.
The Person: You will have extensive experience of managing mechanical / HVAC building services installations from a contractor / D&B perspective. The Salary:
  • Salary is negotiable on experience
  • Other benefits are negotiable and flexible depending upon your employment status i.e. permanent or fixed term contract.
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays
