As an apprentice you will be tasked with, providing 1st and 2nd line support within the school, resolving technical issues raised by staff and students, installing and maintaining the schools classroom IT equipment and much more. You will be fully immersed in all aspects of IT and given all the tools to help you build a successful career in the industry You will be closely supported by the schools Network Manager and the wider IT team. As well as the in house support you will also have a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to provide you with industry expert knowledge throughout your journey.
In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Act as 1st and 2nd line support within the school, monitoring ICT Support helpdesk, allocating jobs according to their priority
Advise staff in the use of hardware and software to enable them to improve the quality of teaching and learning for students
To be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the school's classrooms ICT equipment including PCs, laptops, interactive screen and printers
You will be responsible for undertaking ICT Support projects to be overseen by the school Network Manager
Control stock levels for consumables, including printer supplies, purchasing consumables necessary, ensuring value for money and minimum disruption to usage of IT equipment
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
A passion for IT
Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Technician.
