Role: Press Brake Operator Location: Nottingham Hours: 50 hour week, 6/7am start, paid breaks. You must have the right to work in the UK, Face to Face interviews will be held on site. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a hydraulic press brake to bend, form, and shape sheet metal into various parts. Duties:

  • Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend sheet metal according to blueprints or work orders
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy of bends and dimensions
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Work with various hand tools to fabricate, weld, grind, and assemble parts
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with the equipment
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring devices
  • Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
  • Ability to weld, fabricate, grind, assemble, and work with sheet metal
  • Familiarity with tooling setups for different bending operations
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery issues
