The DigitAl ManufacTUring Transformation PlatforM (DATUM) project is focused on engaging with companies in the management and expansion of applied research, innovation and knowledge transfer in Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0. It is a project supported by PEACEPLUS (Innovation Challenge Fund) managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) and is delivered by AMIC in partnership with Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR). We are seeking a team-player who is passionate about innovative technology to play a major role in the DigitAl ManufacTUring Transformation PlatforM (DATUM) project through engaging and consulting with companies and in the management and expansion of applied research, innovation and knowledge transfer in Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0. You will lead the engagement with Manufacturing companies, assessing their Digital Maturity and, with them, develop Digital Transformation Plans to inform the development and delivery of Collaborative Innovation projects. You will work with teams of engineers and technicians in the development of project-related activities across AMIC to deliver impact to SME's in relation to Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, within the DATUM project. This requires working in collaboration with different technology areas, technology providers, national technology centres, academia and industry to deliver the DATUM project. About the person: Honours Degree, or equivalent. Substantial relevant experience engaging with industry/companies/stakeholders. Relevant experience initiating, executing and managing multifaceted projects within deadlines and budget, displaying strong and effective resource management abilities. Experience in contributing to and creating presentation materials and presenting materials to senior leadership and all other levels within an organisation. Experience of collaborative working in multidisciplinary teams. Experience assisting in securing revenue or funding to support the activities of the research group. This is a 3 year fixed term post. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
