The IT Support Specialist may be based at either Leatherhead (Surrey) or Harwich (Essex) but will provide support to both of these sites and to a third site in Cheshire.
You will need to live within easy travelling distance of either Harwich or Leatherhead and be prepared to travel to other sites.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing efficient and professional assistance to all employees of the company regarding IT-related issues and enquiries. You will be the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems.
Phone and Email Support: Answering requests from employees to diagnose and resolve their IT problems.
Analysing and resolving IT issues, including hardware, software and network problems. Assisting with the installation, configuration and updating of software.
User Training: Providing guidance and training to employees to prevent common issues and improve understanding of IT systems.
Collaboration with Other Teams: Working closely with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and ensure effective communication.
Updating knowledge databases and creating reports on common issues and solutions.
Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot, support & maintain servers and network switches.
Microsoft System Center Config Manager: Manage clients, software packages, updates and OS deployment task sequences.
Qualification/Skills/Experience - Completed education or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11 & Windows Server Operating Systems) and office software (e.g. Microsoft Office). - Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, including Intune, Defender and Exchange. - Experience with Microsoft Config Manager. - Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, VB and batch files. - Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems. - Benefits include 25 days' holiday, Life Assurance, Pension, Healthcare Scheme/EAP and Cycle to Work.
