At Pitchside Network, we're building a dynamic sports media network that delivers daily team-focused shows, podcasts, and live streams to passionate sports fans across the UK. Backed by prominent investors and with an ambitious vision, we aim to revolutionize how fans connect with their favourite teams. We're now seeking a Content Lead to help drive our content strategy and execution as we build out our platform.

Job Description: We are looking for a creative and experienced Content Lead to oversee the production and execution of high-quality sports content across multiple platforms. This is a part-time, flexible role, ideal for someone passionate about sports and digital media who can contribute strategically while remaining hands-on with content creation.

You will work closely with the founders, creators, and a growing freelance team to ensure that our content is engaging, timely, and resonates with our audience. You’ll shape the content calendar, identify trends, and collaborate with freelance creators to deliver top-tier videos, podcasts, and live streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a content strategy that aligns with our daily show and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the production schedule, ensuring a steady flow of engaging, team-specific content.
  • Work closely with freelance creators, video editors, and other contributors to deliver polished, professional content on time.
  • Identify trending topics, upcoming sports events, and fan-driven discussions to incorporate into the content calendar.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and branding across all content, while allowing for creative freedom.
  • Review and approve content before it goes live to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and partnerships teams to align content with broader brand objectives and promotional strategies.
  • Assist in growing our content team by identifying and onboarding new creators and freelance contributors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in content creation and management, preferably within sports or digital media.
  • Strong understanding of video production, live streaming, and podcasting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Experience working with creators, freelancers, and editors to produce high-quality content.
  • A deep passion for sports, especially football, and a strong understanding of UK sports culture.
  • Ability to work flexibly and remotely, coordinating with a team across various locations.
  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in sports journalism or digital sports platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and platforms like YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Basic video editing skills or experience in managing editing teams.
