The role will also include initial design, setup and deployment of solutions, handover to operational teams, migration and transitional services (CMO / TMO / FMO), end-to-end consultation and be the subject matter expert in the relevant domains.
Lead the design of cloud solutions to meet customer requirements (initially based on AWS).
Lead the implementation of AWS solutions.
Participate in non-functional testing, particularly around business resiliency.
Lead, mentor and inspire the use of automated deployment methods throughout the organization, while working to best practices.
Provide technical oversight, review, quality control and best practice advice when required.
Act as an escalation point (Subject Matter Expert) for cloud (initially AWS) technical issues and decisions.
Be able to think strategically about business, product, technical and financial challenges.
Educate customers on options and provide recommendations for platform architecture, coding best-practices, security, integration, add-ons, development process, migration etc.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Multiple years’ experience working within an IT role of which exposure in an implementation / customer facing role.
Multiple years’ experience in IT Infrastructure environment (Networks, Server, Storage, Desktop).
Experience of automated configuration management using tools such as Ansible.
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages and coding skills (C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Ruby, PHP).
Working knowledge of IP Networks and firewalls.
Comfortable working with both Windows and Linux operating systems
Anticipates problems and identifies long term implications of decisions and actions
