To be responsible to Supervise a Cable Team; to oversee the installation of all designed types of cables from cable drums to pre-installed containment systems and or structures, trench-duct works.
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. As a Leading Cable hand, you will have the following accountabilities;
Always ensure you fully understand any associated risks, controls, and rules.
Aspire to develop several specific skills sets that will contribute to the potential further development within the cable team structure at HPC.
NVQ Level 3 Cable Installation
Client/Contractor National Safety Group Safety Passport (CCNSG)
Current in- date CSCS card
Experience in laying all types of cable is preferred
Good Knowledge of all Cabling Aids.
Good Knowledge of Mechanical Winching
Be familiar with the IET Regulations regarding bending radii for various types and sizes of cables.
