We are looking for a Seasonal Cook to join our Adventurous Scout Adventure team based in Hawkhirst, Northumberland. Location: Hawkhirst Scout Adventures, Plashetts, Hexham NE48 1QZ Salary: £29,537.60 (Pro-Rata) Band C, Level 3 - (inclusive of Market Supplement) Term: 6 months Fixed term contract Working Hours: 40 hours per week –required to do some weekends where required We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here - all genders, races and backgrounds. About the Seasonal Cook Role: As the seasonal cook, you will be providing delicious and nourishing meals that contribute to the overall enjoyment of their time at Hawkhirst. You will also be joining our great team of over 30 international staff and volunteers who provide memorable experiences for our young people. What we are looking for in our Seasonal Cook: You will be joined by a Kitchen Assistant to help you create a great catering environment which includes, menu planning, preparing meals & Leading Volunteer team to comply with Food Safety in kitchen and ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld. At least 2 years working in a large professional kitchen environment,ei schools or mass catering Proven competence in providing basic catering for up to 200 for Breakfast and Lunch Experience of problem solving in a customer service focused environment. Some experience in either an educational, outdoor educational or visitor experience environment. Confidence working in a values based working environment.
