Allowance of £6,000 per annum in addition to normal salary

Applications are invited for the post of Vice Dean for Education and Student Experience, in the School of Humanities.

This is a senior leadership position and an opportunityworking alongside other School Executive members to support the delivery of the School and University strategies. The Vice-Dean is responsible for leading the whole education and student experience portfolio across the School (and where appropriate across the University) and for ensuring excellent outcomes and consistency in provision.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent leadership, planning and organisational, strategy development and implementation skills in an academic context. The Vice Dean position requires a successful academic track record demonstrated by promotion to Senior Lecturer or Professor.

In return the post holder will receive an annual allowance of £6,000 per annum in addition to normal salary. The allowance operates as part of a University scheme.

The post is based on the main campus in Egham. It is a fixed term appointment which will normally be for a period of up to three years with the possibility of renewal.
