The Sustainable Design Studio is now seeking an enthusiastic person to join our rapidly growing Green Startup with an immediate start.
The Sustainable Design Studio helps individuals, SME’s and NGOs convert waste into something new by providing, training, machines and product design. Due to the growing demand for our equipment, we are looking for a Machine & Product Design Intern to work with out team to expand our lineup of machines and products.

The role will ideally suit a person who is currently studying Industrial Design or Product Design and is looking to gain valuable experience in a small and exciting startup. We offer a 2-3 day working week, 10am to 6pm working hours (14-21 hour week), free parking and a  pay rate of GBP £9.00 per hour depending on experience plus holiday pay. There may be opportunities for overtime but this is not guaranteed. However, a significant amount of onboarding and guidance will be provided to ensure all parties gain from the internship.

Working as a Machine & Product Designer, the primary duties will involve but are not limited to:
Designing new machines and products.
Constructing, fabricating and testing prototypes.
Creating step-by-step assembly instructions.
Improving and updating the user experience of current machine designs already on retail.
Designing recycled plastic products and moulds.
Due to the current software ecosystem employed at the Sustainable Design Studio the candidate must be proficient at  Fusion 360and have a good understanding of how to use  Excel.

Inclusion of a porfolio is highly recommended.
