I am currently collaborating with a well-established client based in Birmingham who is in search of a skilled Graduate Cyber Security Analyst to join their team. Job Description:

As a Graduate Cyber Security Analyst, you will be immersed in cutting-edge technologies and gain practical experience in cyber security. Working alongside seasoned professionals, you will identify security vulnerabilities, analyse threats, and implement robust security measures. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing cyber security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor security systems and networks for suspicious activity, promptly responding to incidents.
  • Analyse security logs and reports to detect trends and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address cyber security gaps and execute remedial actions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Profound understanding of cyber security principles, concepts, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and industry-specific standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
