This non teaching role is designed to add capacity, to support and effectively contribute to the SEND provision across the academy. The successful candidate will work with all stakeholders to ensure that children with additional needs, vulnerabilities, or barriers to learning receive the support they need to learn, progress successfully and maximise their potential. You will be well organised and willing to go the ‘extra mile’. You will be able to build positive, supportive relationships with staff and students to ensure that teachers are well informed and able to build upon the specific interventions led by the SEND team to maximise learning within the classroom thus ensuring that the separation effect does not impact negatively upon student opportunities and progress. You will champion students who need additional support and play a vital role as a direct contact to allocated parents. You will have experience and a working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience of working with students academically and or pastorally. The ideal candidate will possess the drive and passion to develop themselves professionally with the SEND arena and undertake CPD opportunities to cultivate their SEND knowledge and practice.
